CARROLL EMC SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES APPROACHING
Carroll EMC offers several scholarships that are available to its Members. Walter Harrison Scholarship applications are due February 1st. Applications for the Lerlie and Millard Copeland Scholarship are due March 1st. Also due March 1st are applications for the Washington Youth Tour, an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.,open to high school students.
OPERATION ROUND UP IMPACT GRANTS
The Carroll EMC Foundation aims to provide assistance to area organizations and projects whose primary purpose is to improve the quality of life for residents in communities within our service area.
Grant requests for the 2012 funding cycle will be accepted from January 1, 2012 to April 2, 2012. Grant recipients will be announced in July. Applications for the Operation Round Up Impact Grants are available at http://www.cemc.com/roundup.aspx.
MEMBER ACCOUNT NUMBER CHANGE
Carroll EMC's billing system has changed the end of your Member account number from two digits to three digits. A zero was added in the third digit position from the right to make this change. This seemingly simple upgrade will allow the Cooperative to better serve a growing number of Member-owners.
Carroll EMC account numbers are comprised of two parts; the Member number and the Member separator. As an example, let's say your account number is 1234-01. Your Member number is 1234 and your Member separator is 01. The Member number is what we use to identify your basic account information and the Member separator is used to represent each meter you may have. If you have three meters at your residence, the house might be identified by 01, the barn by 02, and the shop by 03. With the new software upgrade, the account number above would change to 1234-001. Having the additional zero added to account numbers will allow Members with numerous accounts to have more meters under one Member number.
